State Senator Jim Carlson (DFL-51) grew up in Eagan and is a retired 3M engineer. He served in the Minnesota Senate from 2006-2010 and was elected again in 2012. ​State ​Representative Liz Reyer (DFL-51B) has lived in Eagan for over 25 years. She was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 2020 and brings 30 years of business and leadership experience to the job, including 12 years at Blue Cross here in Eagan.
